Late in 2018 The Hyde Bridge Gallery put an open call out for Artists to submit up to three pieces of work no bigger than A5. The idea behind the exhibition was something similar to that of the Incognito exhibition in that the Artist remain secret, hence the title of the exhibition, RÚN, the Irish word for secret. Each piece was at the set price of €50, the difference being sale of postcards were split equally between Artist and Gallery.
Exhibition night, December 8th, was a fun night out with a big queue out the door...
I titled these paintings Haiku I II and III. It felt appropriate to give them these titles as Haiku has three lines (three paintings) and is harmonious and balanced like nature. These were done with watercolour and colouring pencil.
