Year three and I'm still contributing in creating some artwork in a bid to help raise funds for The Jack and Jill Children's Foundation. Back in January I began painting postcards for Incognito 2018. The premise is the Artist remains secret, buyers buy the piece for the love of the artwork not the name. After purchase the Artist is revealed as the name is written on the back. Which is why I'm only posting these now, each Artist has sworn to secrecy not to reveal their piece. Each postcard was sold at €50 and worked on a first come first served basis, so buyers were encouraged to get in early. I was very impressed with the massive queue outside The Solomon Gallery.
I decided on turning my postcards into a triptych giving me more space to create...plus it looks good. I titled these pieces Valley of the Birds I II and III. They were painted with watercolour, fine-liner pen and colouring pencil.
Whoever bought these paintings may your eyeballs forever feel a sweet delight every time you look upon them and thank you for buying them.
