The Yeats Project

I've decided to undergo an ongoing project involving W.B Yeats. For a long while now I couldn't help but notice there's plenty of Yeats portraits and paintings of the Sligo landscape inspired by his poetry but there's no artwork based on the poems themselves, which I think is a shame and have decided to make my own interpretations.
I'm combining my style with Art Nouveau, which was a popular Art movement in Yeats' time.
In my research for this project what I found interesting is that Art Nouveau had a comeback with 60's psychedelic poster art, so, considering Yeats' was interested in the Occult (another popular rise in the 1960's) and liked to use Opium, makes sense to incorporate a psychedelic feel to these paintings. The watercolour in this project will help keep the sense of delicateness of the poetry while the use of colour brings the joys of youth and nature, something Yeats wrote a lot about in his poetry. So far I have completed The Cat and the Moon, The Mermaid, No Second Troy and The Lake Isle of Innisfree.
